What a day in Kindergarten! We were celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday today and we were surprised by an unexpected visit from the Cat in the Hat.
Not only did he come and visit us, he gave us a signed copy of Mrs. Holbrook's favorite Dr. Seuss book, Marvin K. Mooney Will You Please Go Now! What a fabulous day!!
I am a product of the Highline School District. I attended Shorewood Elementary School, Pacific Middle School, and Mt. Rainier High School. I also worked at ERAC my junior and senior year of high school as a student helper.
I attended Washington State University (1998-2002 B.A. Education) GO COUGS! and Central Washington University (2006-2008 M.A. Education). I also finished my Professional Certification in Spring of 2009.
I taught 2nd grade at Parkside Elementary from 2002-2004. I then moved to Eugene, Oregon to be with my husband while he completed his Ph.D. and taught Kindergarten both years at Edison Elementary and Parker Elementary. I then moved back to Seattle (and the Highline School District) and have taught Kindergarten at Southern Heights Elementary for the past 3 years (2006-2009). I am excited to begin the next chapter of my teaching career at Marvista!
