Field Trip to the Cove

End of Ocean Week #1

Our first week of Ocean Month has flown by!! This week we have been talking about the Ocean as a "habitat" and learning about all of the animals that live there. Today we were making scuba divers to swim in our classroom "habitat" and we were joined by Mr. Hornus who has been scubing diving for many years and has gone on over 2000 dives!! He brought in his diving equipment and photographs and videos from some of his dives. A HUGE THANK YOU to Mr. Hornus, we had such a fun day!! Our Scuba Divers

It's an Ocean in Room 1310

Over Spring Break our classroom turned into an Ocean! We will be studying the Ocean for the whole month of April and have already learned so much in the past week! Observation Charts

ATTENTION:
We are still issuing lottery numbers for full-day kindergarten for the 2010-2011 School year. The first class has been filled.

AM AND PM KINDERGARTEN
AM Kindergarten is 9:10 am -11:45 pm
PM Kindergarten is 1:10 pm -3:40 pm

All Day Kindergarten is $295 per month

Half Day is no cost

Kindergarten Requirements for All Day and AM/PM

*You must live in the Marvista Boundries

*Copy of a Utility Bill or Lease

*Copy of Child's Birth Certificate

*Copy of Immunizations (Drs. Copy)-Needs both Varicella Shots

Reminder! April 5-9 is Spring Break. Hurray for Spring!

Cove to Clover

This Sunday, March 14th was the Cove to Clover 5K run. In addition to the 5K, there was also a Family 1 mile run. Lots of kindergarteners partcipated and Nicole O. (pictured above) even ran the 5K with her dad. Marvista was also able to earn $1500 from all of it's participants. It was great seeing all of you Sunday and I am already looking forward to next year!! More information about the race can be found on the link below.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!

What a day in Kindergarten! We were celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday today and we were surprised by an unexpected visit from the Cat in the Hat.



Not only did he come and visit us, he gave us a signed copy of Mrs. Holbrook's favorite Dr. Seuss book, Marvin K. Mooney Will You Please Go Now! What a fabulous day!!
